We are a Pearson BTEC approved centre and most of our qualifications are accredited by Pearson. Pearson is the largest awarding organisation in the UK and it is licensed by the UK government.

Axcel International Academy is an approved partner of the University of Derby.

The University of Derby and Axcel International Academy have agreed to collaborate by developing an arrangement to offer certain of the University’s Programmes of study at the University by way of recognising progression from Axcel’s programmes to the specified University of Derby’s Programmes.

The University of Derby has been awarded a Gold rating by the Higher Education Funding Council for England
(HEFCE) in the UK’s first ever Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). This puts the University in the top 20%
of all providers in the UK for the quality of it’s teaching.

The TEF has been introduced by the UK Government to encourage and raise the profile of teaching excellence
in universities and colleges, and is intended to help students choose where to study by providing clear
information about teaching provision and student outcomes.

Axcel International Academy and Coventry University agreed to collaborate in the provision of undergraduate courses.

This collaboration aims to deliver high-quality education that empowers our students, and to make the excellence of British education’s quality and culture more accessible to students.

Coventry University is an award-winning, dynamic university that provides high quality education, and was awarded the prestigious Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (2017). Furthermore, it ranked 15th in the Guardian University Guide 2020, and is top in the UK – and third in Europe – for how well it engages with its students according to the Times Higher Education (THE) Europe Teaching Rankings 2018. Coventry University is a modern and diverse university, full of culture, and a great place to study. Its friendly and vibrant atmosphere supports its students with the best possible experience.

Under this academic agreement, the students will gain their full undergraduate degree in 2 stages:

Stage 1: The courses of undergraduate study are delivered and managed by Axcel and awarded by Pearson.
Stage 2: The courses of undergraduate study following Stage I are delivered and managed by Coventry University.

Progression routes available include:

  • BA International Business Top-up
  • BA Media- Top-up
  • BSc Informatics Top-up

These courses will broaden our students' skills upon the successful completion of the three year route. Moreover our students will acquire an internationally recognised degree award that potentially will boost their careers.

Axcel International Academy and University of Portsmouth have collaborated to provide a Learning at Work degree.

Stemming from Axcel’s method in teaching and providing vocational learning, this collaboration aims to deliver a good high-quality education blended with the work-based skills so the students will have the best of both worlds.

One of the top 150 Young Universities in the World (Times Higher Education Young Universities Rankings 2021) the University of Portsmouth is considered to be a world-class university that is diverse in both their students, staff and their innovative methods. Moreover, it has been awarded the 5-star University by the QS Top University Rankings for 2022 and its teaching is rated gold by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

Based on our collaboration, students will be able to top up their HND with a Learning at Work degree from the university of Portsmouth.

The learning at work programmes allow students to get their bachelor degree while working their full-time, part-time, internship or volunteer jobs. Students will take part in tailoring their learning objectives based on their professional career and their personal skills. This will give them the opportunity to put what they learned in practice instantly.

BTEC qualifications are worldwide recognised with:

– Over 70 professional bodies recognise BTEC qualifications – including the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Management, Accounting and Engineering Institutions.

BTEC HNDs are internationally recognised Higher Education qualifications that are equivalent to the first and second years of a university degree
BTEC HNDs provide specialist work-related learning, reflecting the requirements of employers and professional organisations and meeting the National Occupational Standards for each sector or industry.
